The partners Leif Erik Rasmussen and Henrik Rolff both started out as furniture designers, graduating from the Danish School of Art and Design in 1968. The two designers concentrate in particular on the ergonomic workstation. This has resulted in many beautifully prepared, planned and designed pieces of office furniture now found in all sorts of workplaces. The two designers manage to show that it is details that create holistic entities. In 1982, they won the Furniture Prize with their Paustian Storage System. It was originally developed to supplement Alvar Aalto's chairs and desks. Since then, Rasmussen and Rolff have designed several pieces of furniture for Fritz Hansen, Domore Corp. USA, Farstrup and Paustian.
Table Series 500 is designed to meet the needs of employees for an efficient and varied workplace. The height-adjustable frame with its characteristic columns is equipped with a control panel which makes it easy to switch between sitting and standing working positions in just 8 seconds. With its elegant design, Table Series 500 harmonises perfectly with surroundings which emphasise a good working environment.
